What are exosomes
Exosomes are lipid bilayer-enclosed nanovesicles produced by cells serving as cell-to-cell delivery vehicles. They are formed from intracellular membrane compartments during endosomal maturation process and released to extracellular space from the multivesicular body.
Most of the cells secrete exosomes, which can be found in all body fluids: blood, liquid, saliva, synovial fluid, etc.
